The Kamal Yellow Pages directory of Pakistan was the creation of serendipity. Mr. Asad Qureshi stumbled upon the idea quite by accident when he first got the PTCL phone in his Office Qureshi Printing Point Gkakkhar Mandi In1989. He made a small directory, a pocket size diary and lost it. That really bothered him and he thought about how he wasn't isolated in his predicament. He thought of making something which made contact information readily available to the general public. His first effort was to make a directory for the city of Ghakkar. The other people involved were Mr.Fareed Asmat, Mr.Waqar Meer(Engineer), Mr.Arshad Rasheed Tarrar, Mr.Ch.Muhammad Anwar(GM PTCL), Mr.Idrees Butt and the late Mr.Shamus Kashmiri. They worked with dedication and devotion alongside Mr. Asad Qureshi to bring the first directory into being. Then came the directory of Hafiz Abad and the directory of Sheikhupura
In Sheikupura Mr. Siddiq Khokar - MSK Sanitary Fittings, Mr. Rana Akraam - Rana Traders, Mian Aftab and Amjad Farooq aided them a great deal. All three directories were a great success. In 1995 however, Mr. Asad started the directory in Gujranwala and it was the biggest success by unforgettable personalities. Muhammad Yonus(Cober Home Appliances), Alhaj Muhammad Sarwer Mughal(Late) and Brothers, Alhaj Muhammad Afzal(Gondal PreCasting), Mahmood Ahmad Dar(y-man Engineering-Company), Syed Mashkoor Hussain Shah(Shah Interprises), Haji Karamat-Ullah(Basa Water tank), Muhammad Yousaf Cheema(HB tyres), Asim Nadeem pixel, Zahir Ali Shah(photographer), Muhammad Akram Badshah(Shelton Hotel), Ikhlaq Ahmad Butt and Specially Thanks to Mr.Shukat Javed(X-president GCCI) It was such a great success that he continued to print it every year to date. The directory has complete details of all the Industrial Addresses and it is a blessing for the people of Pakistan. The directory has done a lot for promoting the industry of Pakistan.
